Didem Aydoğan

Didem Aydoğan is a postdoctoral researcher in Tokgöz Lab, Sabancı University, working on next-generation wireless communication, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), and sub-THz systems. She received her Ph.D. in 2024 from Université Gustave Eiffel in France, where her doctoral research focused on advanced signal-processing techniques for joint radar and communication systems for connected and automated vehicles.

She completed both her B.Sc. (2019) and M.Sc. (2021) studies at Université Savoie Mont Blanc in France, receiving her M.Sc. in Electronics, Embedded Systems, and Telecommunications and building a multidisciplinary background spanning electronics, signal processing, embedded systems, and telecommunications.

Her research interests include OFDM-based radar and ISAC, waveform design, phase noise and RF hardware impairments, mmWave and sub-THz communications, high-resolution sensing, and hardware-aware signal processing. A central theme of her work is the co-design of waveforms and transceiver architectures, aimed at understanding how practical hardware constraints such as oscillator phase noise, power-amplifier nonlinearity, converter limitations, and RF architecture choices affect communication and sensing performance.

She is particularly interested in developing robust and energy-efficient solutions for future 6G systems that bridge theoretical signal processing, communication theory, radar sensing, and RF hardware implementation. Her current research also explores waveform–hardware co-optimization, sub-THz transceiver architectures, and new approaches for improving sensing accuracy, communication reliability, and implementation efficiency in emerging wireless systems.
