Mehmet Akif Özkaya holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Sabancı University. During his two-year graduate research at Tokgöz Lab between September 2024 and June 2026, he worked on the design, modeling, and fabrication of piezoresistive pressure sensors as part of a TUSAŞ project.
His master’s thesis, titled “Dynamic and Static Codesign Methodology and Realization of Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors,” focused on the development and realization of piezoresistive pressure sensing structures. His research involved dynamic and static co-design methodologies, analytical and numerical modeling, and the fabrication of sensor structures. Through his graduate studies, he gained experience in MEMS sensor design, multiphysics simulation, microfabrication, piezoresistive sensing, and sensor characterization.
He currently works as a Production Engineer at Turkuaz Seramik.
