Mete Sakallı is currently a Master’s student in the Electronics Engineering program at Sabancı University, where he also completed his Bachelor’s degree. His research centers on digital integrated circuit development, ranging from RISC-V processor architectures and SoC design to FPGA implementation, hardware accelerators for machine learning and TinyML applications, and digital ASIC design.
During his first year, he worked on an Edge-ML project funded by TÜBİTAK that calculated the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of batteries without using Cycle Index (CI) data, featuring RNNs such as LSTM, SimpleRNN, and GRU. He is currently working on a runtime and gate-configurable flexible Edge-ML hardware project.
His longer-term interests lie in aerospace and sensor-related digital systems, with a particular passion for RISC-V and computer architecture.
