Saim Egemen Yücel is a graduate researcher pursuing an M.Sc. in Materials Science and Nanoengineering at Sabancı University, holding a B.Sc. in Physics Engineering from Ankara University. His background combines computational modeling and hands-on laboratory work: density functional theory (DFT) has been used to investigate the electronic and structural properties of 2D materials, alongside practical experience gained in cleanroom fabrication and materials characterization techniques. Aiming for an academic career in device physics and emerging technologies, his research currently focuses on the design and experimental realization of quantum materials with potential applications in Edge AI hardware.
